Life Pastoral Counseling pursues emotional and spiritual health for individuals. Our present-tense struggles are always rooted in the past. But we often feel unsure of how to deal with the wounds of the past to experience freedom in the present. Whether pursuing individual counseling for help with a specific problem (difficulties in a particular relationship, help with a career decision, or addiction) or for a more generalized problem (loneliness, depression, or anxiety), individual pastoral counseling offers you the opportunity to be guided toward life-giving solutions that bring freedom and healing.

marital Counseling

Marital counseling with Life Pastoral Counseling is for couples who are doing well and wanting to create a stronger relationship and for couples who have found themselves in a time of difficulty or crisis. A trained counselor can help couples navigate difficult conversations with wisdom on how to communicate more effectively. The arrangements for marital counseling are different for every couple. Your counselor will help determine if couples counseling alone is what is needed, or if individual sessions will also be beneficial for your situation. We use various assessment tools to gather information that is useful for creating a path forward.

Pre-Marital Counseling

Pre-marital counseling is for engaged couples seeking to understand how to build a strong foundation for their future marriage. Counseling consists of five to seven sessions that address the core issues that can hinder a life-giving marriage (finances, sexual intimacy, extended family and communication). Life Pastoral Counselors use the Prepare/Enrich Assessment to measure the couples’ relationship strengths, growth areas and weaknesses. We strongly believe that pre-marital counseling is vital to building a strong and healthy marriage.

***Pre-Engagement counseling is for couples that are in a serious relationship, but have not made a commitment toward marriage yet. This can be done as an individual or as a couple.

Financial Commitment:

Helping You afford
the support you need

Life Pastoral Counseling is a 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry devoted to Christ-centered counseling. Each session is valued at $160, yet we offer an income-based sliding scale so that no one is turned away due to financial limitations. We invite each individual and couple to contribute at a level that reflects both their personal commitment and their unique circumstances. Those unable to pay for sessions due to financial hardship are encouraged to secure a financial sponsor (i.e. parent or friend).

Scholarship applications are also available upon request.

Cancellations or reschedules require at least 24 hours notice. A $50 fee applies to latecancellations or no-shows.
